Sleddogclub: Svenska Polarhundenklubben

Nr of years with mushing: 18

Breed: Siberian Husky

Other long-distance experience:
Long distance experience in speedskating (+ 200 km) several times.
First time PD in 2015 (5th place).
And since we have sleddogs, we make every year tours with our dogs in Norway and/or Sweden.

Number of items in the Polar Distance: 1

Why long distance:
Love being a team with the dogs, feeling that you depend on eachother. Being outside, having to deal with all kinds of situations (sometimes unexpected) and have the feeling together we will survive and make it to the finish line, makes me happy.

The strategy for the race:
Want to go faster than the last time, but that also depends on the conditions. Want to run in 2 longer stages, with a good break in the checkpoint.

Special dogs in the team:
Alle my dogs are special to me. Toolik is the smallest, but fun to work with as she is smart, a hard worker and always in contact with me. And she is our only Swiss dog in the kennel, and not like the others from Sweden. Kambel is quit, not the quickest one, but keeping her pace all the time. Sepp is the biggest of all, but with a small heart. But in PD 2015 he was with me all the time and even in the snowblizzard did all I asked him to do. Last but not least is Serox. He is new in our team, but with already 4 years of sleddog experience. He is happy all the time, loves to run fast and work hard.

Other information:
Love to meet all participants in March. Wish all of them luck!
